The debate will also emphasize the rather widespread failure of European institutions in addressing the desperate situation of Mediterranean migrants.
At the heart of the discussion is the question of the right to asylum, a principle undermined by current migration policies; and the arising question: what could be the legal mechanisms for its restoration in the future!?
