This Saturday, on the occasion of the International Anti-Austerity Day, the collectives Real Democracy France and The Right to Housing 06 are organizing a festive gathering with street meals at Place Massรฉna from 12:30 PM and a land cultivation workshop starting at 3 PM.
The purpose of this gathering:
To rise en masse against austerity while political corruption and the squandering of public money are customary for some of our leaders.
To rise against the concrete encasing of fertile lands for large unnecessary harmful projects that are set up to create competition between territories to the detriment of the people living on these lands, who are expropriated for a pittance.
To rise against the evictions of DALO (Right to Housing Opposable) and people in difficulty while the requisition law exists, and the city can preempt. There are 30,000 vacant homes according to INSEE in the former NCA area, yet our leaders prefer to concrete over lands to build housing instead of pursuing a truly social policy!
To demand a policy devoid of corruption and take money from where it is: in tax havens!
To reclaim fertile lands in an alluvial plain: the Var Valley, as it would ensure us food and energy autonomy and be a source of non-relocatable jobs.
To demand a responsible housing policy: a financial audit of Cรดte d’Azur Habitat, the application of the requisition law by governmental decree, the accompaniment of DALO by the community, and the use of Nice’s right of preemption.
In a few words, change the world, right!!!
