On the occasion of the 102nd Congress of Mayors and Presidents of Intercommunality of France, the National Federation of Public Works (FNTP) awarded a “Victories of Local Investment” prize for the project to refurbish and strengthen the metropolitan road 2205 in the Tinée Valley.
For this project, the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis chose innovative road maintenance technologies: the ARM (Mobile Recycling Workshop) 2500 and Skinway, developed by the company Eiffage. These technologies enable the treatment of damaged road surfaces in situ.
Beyond the completed work, the solutions tested on the Metropolitan Road 2205, between the municipalities of Saint-Etienne de Tinée and Isola, offer a significant cost saving of approximately 50% compared to traditional solutions, which consist of renewing the base and surface layers by planing, then manufacturing and implementing new asphalt.
