The Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis and the town of Falicon are investing in creating essential facilities for both Falicon residents and their visitors. Yesterday, Friday, March 31st, marked the inauguration of the new parking facility in the town.
For this inauguration, the medieval village located just 10 km from Nice invited Christian Estrosi, Mayor of Nice, President of the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis, and Vice President of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Region; Anaïs Tosel, Mayor of Falicon and Metropolitan Councilor; and Jean-Jacques Carlin, Mayor of Saint-André-de-la-Roche and President of SIVoM Val de Banquière.
The construction, which began in February 2021, with an operational cost of 1,350,000 euros excluding taxes, was co-financed by the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis and the town. This perfectly illustrates Metropolitan Solidarity.
“The Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis” and “My Southern Region” continue their solidarity policy towards municipalities, as we have done jointly with Falicon on this project.

The old, outdated surface parking has been replaced with a new two-level parking area, offering 80 free parking spaces, including 3 for people with reduced mobility and 4 for electric vehicles.
This development addresses the population growth and greatly improves parking in the upper part of the village, where new schools and a media library have just opened. Indeed, this parking facility is part of the development of a school complex replacing the old Jules Romain school, with the creation of 9 classrooms and a school cafeteria.
