The opening of the Maison de la Métropole Nice Côte d’Azur in Paris alongside EPA Plaine du Var and Team Côte d’Azur marks an acceleration of its ambitions as well as its desire to strengthen the economic promotion tools of the territory.

metropole_paris.jpg Established in Paris, the Métropole Nice Côte d’Azur continues to uphold its highest economic ambitions and promote the industrial transformation it has initiated.

An industrial transformation initiated to diversify the territory’s economy, previously almost exclusively focused on tourism, based on innovation, new technologies, and green growth.

These 150m² in the heart of the 7th arrondissement showcase, to investors, through the use of interactive 3D screens and augmented reality, the projects led by the Métropole Nice Côte d’Azur and the investment opportunities.

A place of emulation and exchange, the Maison de la Métropole Nice Côte d’Azur will host monthly conferences bringing together opinion leaders, business leaders, experts, and investors.

The Opération d’Intérêt National Éco-Vallée in the Plaine du Var is at the heart of this change. Covering nearly 10,000 hectares across 15 municipalities, 450 hectares are devoted to economic activities, housing, research, training, sports, and leisure.

The Éco-Vallée includes the construction of the international business district Grand Arenas (which notably includes a 65,000 m² Exhibition Center), the urban technology park Nice Méridia focused on research and development functions, as well as the installation of the Marché d’Intérêt National (MIN) d’Azur, the second largest in France, on the La Baronne site.

The Éco-Vallée, located minutes from France’s second international airport, will be served by a new multimodal hub and, from 2017, by the new west-east tramway line, currently under construction. Nice, an interconnected and sustainable metropolis, thus aims to create 20,000 jobs by 2020.

Created to develop and foster an eco-friendly context for innovation, the Pépinière d’Entreprise Nice Côte d’Azur was labeled a European Business and Innovation Center (CEEI) by the European Union in 2012.

Since then, the CEEI has facilitated the creation of 74 companies and 315 direct jobs. Equipped with resources and offering new services (FabLab, Open Loft, and Soft landing) to project developers, the CEEI, alongside the economic agency Team Côte d’Azur, confirms its leading role in this re-industrialization process of the territory.
