On the occasion of the Mayors and Local Authorities Exhibition, Christian Estrosi, President of the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis, and Jean-Bernard Lévy, CEO of the EDF group, formalized the award of the contract to the CITELUM/IZIVIA consortium for the expansion and operation of the electric vehicle charging station network at the scale of the Metropolis. This contract will have a duration of two years, renewable.

As part of this contract and alongside the launch of a car-sharing label, 280 stations of the Autobleue network will be upgraded with new-generation sockets allowing all types of electric vehicles to recharge. Additionally, 73 new stations will be installed, bringing the entire network to a total of 500 charging points, achieving complete coverage across the 49 municipalities of the Metropolis.

By the end of 2019, the number of fast charging stations will triple, 20 semi-fast charging stations will be installed, and 15 new stations will be installed in park-and-ride facilities near tramway stations.
