From July 28 to October 5, 2025, the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis is launching a public consultation on the future Exhibition and Convention Center (PEC). Residents, associations, and local stakeholders are invited to express their views on a project that is part of the transformation of the Grand Arénas district.
The Metropolis is embarking on a new phase for its future Exhibition and Convention Center. This project, part of the development of the Grand Arénas district, has entered a phase of public consultation. For a little over two months, everyone is invited to review the presented documents and share their observations.
The consultation officially started on July 28 and will end on October 5. It was enacted by a resolution of the Metropolitan Council in 2021. The purpose is twofold: to inform the public about the project and to gather opinions in order to adapt the facility to the needs of the territory.
The PEC is set to be a place meant to host economic, cultural, and institutional events. It will be integrated into the evolving Grand Arénas district, envisaged as a future hub of activities and life. The Metropolis emphasizes the issues related to mobility, accessibility, and the environment.
Information venues and several means of expression
To effectively inform the public, two exhibitions are accessible in Nice. One is held at the premises of the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis, at 9 avenue Valéry Giscard d’Estaing. The other is installed at the AnimaNice Notre-Dame Center, 18 rue d’Angleterre. The opening hours vary depending on the day and period. The displayed documents provide an understanding of the main aspects of the project, its objectives, and the initial proposed developments.
Additionally, the information is available online. A presentation document in PDF format can be downloaded. A public meeting is also announced for the end of September. It will be held at the Mediterranean University Center on the Promenade des Anglais. The exact date will be communicated later.
To share opinions, several channels are offered. Two paper registers are available at the exhibition sites. It is also possible to send remarks by postal mail to the President of the Metropolis or by email at the following address: avenircongres@nicecotedazur.org.
Residents encouraged to participate
The contributions will help guide decision-making in the next steps. They will be considered before moving to the operational phase of the project.
“This project concerns you,” reminds the Metropolis. “As residents, shopkeepers, associations, or users of the metropolitan territory, your opinion is essential. It will help build a facility suited to the territory’s expectations in terms of mobility, accessibility, sustainable development, and economic activity.”
The call for contributions is addressed to all audiences. The Metropolis emphasizes the intention to involve the people of Nice, as well as all users concerned by the future of the Grand Arénas district. The approach is based on transparency and participation. It aims to provide a better alignment between the initial project and the expressed needs.
The future Exhibition and Convention Center is envisioned as a major infrastructure designed to host a variety of events.
