The “Territoires d’Industrie” program aims to support 124 areas in the development of their industrial projects, relying in particular on Metropolises and Regions. The most important industrial zone of the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis and the Alpes-Maritimes, Carros, has been selected as a pilot area.
The commitment protocol between the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis and the State will be signed this Monday by Christian Estrosi and Gwénaëlle Chapuis. This is the very first “Territoire d’Industrie” partnership signed as part of this major program with a budget of 1.36 billion euros.
With 188 hectares, 600 companies, 10,000 jobs, and flagship companies such as Malongo, Virbac, Schneider Electric, and Arkopharma, the Carros-Le Broc industrial zone is the largest in the department and a major employment hub in our area.
The Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis had already initiated a number of targeted actions to enable companies in this zone to become more attractive and improve working conditions for employees: a partnership on industrial ecology with CAIPDV, support for seeking European funding, a dedicated training tool, and the creation last September of the Vence-Carros express line to facilitate employee mobility.
