“The Sustainable Design School” (SDS), School of Innovation and Sustainable Design at the service of humanity, is setting up in the metropolitan area by integrating the premises of the European Business and Innovation Center (CEEI) at the heart of Eco-Valley.
This school will create synergies with the actors and future partners of its development (businesses, research centers, competitiveness clusters, universities…) in this region resolutely focused on sustainable development and innovation.
SDS: Innovation through design, design at the service of innovation
The three founders are: Patrick le Quément, a designer at Simca, Ford, Volkswagen-Audi, Renault, Nissan, etc., Maurille Larivière, co-founder of Strate College, professor at the École Polytechnique, at the École des Ponts ParisTech, etc., and Marc Van Peteghem, a naval architect who designed the Trimaran BMW Oracle, winner of the America’s Cup 2011, the Hydroptère, and racing boats for top sailors such as Florence Arthaud, Olivier de Kersauson…
These three men have chosen Nice to develop an original pedagogy based on project realization, in partnership with businesses and institutions, in Nice and around the world. SDS will use methods and tools of drawing, design, design thinking, and sustainable design.
This higher education institution, offering a master’s degree over 5 years, will prioritize the transversality of skills and will be open to many specialties such as design, architecture, humanities, sustainable development, engineering, marketing, management, communication,…
