The Nice Côte d’Azur Junior Chamber International raises high school students’ awareness of social responsibility.

On Thursday, October 17, 2013, the Young Economic Chamber Nice Côte d’Azur is organizing a morning session on corporate social responsibility awareness at Lycée Saint Vincent de Paul for students from the professional high schools Magnan and Saint Vincent de Paul participating in the Towards Professional Integration (VIP) program.

The students will take part in interactive theater, featuring educational enactments, and then engage with professionals who will explain their company’s contribution to sustainable development.

“CSR in Action” will take place in two parts. First, the students will participate in an interactive theater performance on the theme of corporate social responsibility. It will be led by a professional company experienced in raising awareness about sustainable development.

This will help them realize that each individual’s actions impact the whole of which they are part, and that it is possible to mitigate negative effects and promote positive ones. The aim is to encourage changes in behaviors and habits, and even to create a “sustainable development reflex.”

Then, two SMEs and a network of companies will testify to their actions in favor of sustainable development, discuss the reasons for their choices, return on investment, benefits obtained, upcoming actions, etc. This will allow the students to see that sustainable development is a performance driver for businesses and that the business world is attractive and accessible.

“CSR in Action” will enable the students to understand sustainable development as a whole by presenting its three components (economic, environmental, and social). This is to provide them with the necessary information to become responsible citizens.
