Euroweb06 announces the program until mid-February 2009.

Retrospective Ingmar Bergman.

The tribute to the Swedish director concludes on January 29, 2009, with the screening at 2 PM of Intermezzo, a documentary by Gunnar Bergdhal about the filmmaker, his career, his love of theater, and his artistic choices. It will also be possible to discover or rediscover 3 Bergman films: The Rite, The Magic Flute, and A Passion from Tuesday, January 27 to Thursday, January 29.

Polish cinema “KINO POLSKA” is also offered to the curiosity of spectators, including on January 29 a presentation of short films from the famous Lodz School, which was attended by Roman Polanski, Jerzy Skolimowski, and Krzysztof Kieslowski.

Andrzej Zulawski will give a “cinema lesson” on January 30 at 7:30 PM. He will comment on some sequences from his films and answer questions from the audience. Five films by Zulawski are scheduled at the Cinรฉmathรจque on Friday, January 30, and Saturday, January 31, including Possession and That Most Important Thing: Love.

Peter Greenaway, a British filmmaker known for directing, among others, The Draughtsman’s Contract, Nightwatching, and The Belly of an Architect, is expected for a Cinema Lesson on February 12, 13, 14, 2009.
