Throughout the duration of the Nice Jazz Festival 2013 and Crazy Week, the City of Nice opened its site to the association Les Bouchons d’Amour, which collects plastic caps to then sell them to a recycler.
The money collected funds projects for people with disabilities, particularly for handisport equipment. A simple and easy action that combines solidarity and ecology.
16 containers were installed at each food point on the Festival’s site, and 2 during Crazy Week. During the Nice Jazz Festival, in 5 evenings, 19 kilos of caps were collected (compared to 15 kg in 2012) and during Crazy Week, 4.6 kilos of caps.
Recognized as being of general interest, the association Les Petits Bouchons was created by Jean-Marie Bigard, its sponsor.
