We are here… Nice is being exported to the United States: the Miami Nice Jazz Festival will take place from October 26 to 28, 2012, in Miami, as the kickoff to the famous French Week.
A bit of history…
In 2011, Christian Estrosi, Deputy Mayor of Nice and President of the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis, decided to take the Nice Jazz Festival back under management. New location: the festival is moved to the city center: it’s a real challenge! This new version stands out for its originality, closeness, and accessibility… It’s a real success!
In two years, the Nice Jazz Festival has broken its audience records by bringing together more than 30,000 spectators each year for the “in” events.
Let’s remember that as early as 1948, the Jazz in Nice is the first festival of its kind in the world to make its appearance.
This summer, during the 2012 Nice Jazz Festival, Christian Estrosi announced the creation of the Miami Nice Jazz Festival…
This edition’s lineup includes, among others, Dee Dee Bridgewater, who is the godmother of both festivals for 2012, as well as André Ceccarelli with his group TROC, who is the godfather of the next Nice Jazz Festival which will take place in Nice from July 8 to 12, 2013.
