Do at least 3 musicians from your group reside in Nice?
Is your repertoire composed of at least 75% original titles?
Yes? Then you are well on your way to participating in the “Nice is Jazz” contest!
As part of the Nice Jazz Off, the City of Nice and Ivoire Music present the “Nice is Jazz” contest. The winner will have the opportunity to perform on the stage of the Théâtre de Verdure with the artists featured at the Nice Jazz Festival during the closing night on Friday, July 12, 2013.

Participation Guidelines
If you are interested, you need to send the following items by email to jazz@ivoiremusic.fr:
• A Myspace link or equivalent containing at least 3 full tracks,
• A presentation of the group (including names/first names/instruments of the musicians in the group),
• A technical sheet.

Organization of the “Nice is Jazz” contest by the Ivoire Music association.
• 9 groups will perform for free from July 5 to July 7 from 5 PM to 7 PM, with 3 groups per day at Place Masséna.
• Each group will perform for 30 minutes. The performance order will be decided randomly.
• The groups will perform in front of the public and a jury composed of professionals, media, and officials.
• The winner of the contest will perform as an opening act in the evening at the Théâtre de Verdure, as part of the Nice Jazz Festival. This performance will be paid.
• The 9 groups will be invited to sign an agreement defining the technical and logistical terms of the contest.
