The socio-cultural and religious association (En-Nour) of Nice la Plaine was received at the prefecture by the Chief of Staff, Mr. WINCKLER, and the Deputy Prefect, Mr. MONTET-JOURDRAN, following the association’s request for a meeting.
After confirming that the ongoing works could continue legally, the association asked the State representatives to refuse the opening of preliminary investigations into the Declaration of Public Utility (DUP).
The Prefect did not wish to respond to this request in the absence of a referral from the Nice City Hall.
The association will accompany the support committee, which plans to go to Nice City Hall on Friday, November 15, to ask the elected officials, who will be meeting that day at the municipal council, to withdraw the DUP aiming at the expropriation of the place of worship.
