Only volleyball missed the mark for this weekend to be perfect in terms of results for Nice’s sports teams. Notably, the Nice rugby players scored big against Monteux (64-5) and the eaglets in Guingamp (2-7).
Not to mention the achievement of OGC Nice, the teams participating in the national championships all won, except for Nice Volley who lost to Cambrai (3-0) in their second consecutive match after the home defeat against Nancy. A more challenging start to the season than expected which requires a quick course correction.
The OGC Nice handball players found victory again in the derby against Toulon. Victory achieved with guts (28-27)… Will it be a good omen for the future?
In a tight game and during overtime (5-4), the Eagles prevailed over their hosts on the occasion of their trip to Courbevoie and remain close to the leading pack.
Enthusiasm largely outweighed the lack of experience for the Niss’Angels: Fourth consecutive success (83-76) in Dunkirk and first place in the standings.
Finally, the Stade Niçois rugby players did not do things halfway by crushing Monteux (64-5) in an uneventful match, placing themselves in a position to qualify for the finals, a minimum target for an ambitious season.
