The Reds and Blacks found their way back to victory this Saturday afternoon at the Arboras. Alexandre Compan’s men won with the bonus 41-15 against Pรฉrigueux. A win that allows them to come within 3 points of the leader Albi. Very well into the match, the Niรงois scored first in the fourteenth minute through Jules Solinas, after a lineout 5m out, the maul fell short at the line, the ball was picked up and landed in the hands of the French scrum-half. After fifteen minutes, the locals led 7-0. Dominating the game, Stade Niรงois scored two more tries in the first half. These feats by Romain Riguet and Andrzej Charlat were the results of beautiful team movements and forward-thinking play. Despite a try from Pรฉrigueux, the Niรงois led 22-10 at halftime.
The Niรงois maintain their momentum
From the start of the second half, the locals resumed with the same intentions and scored a third try. Simon Delas benefited from a good break by Romain Riguet to score his third try of the season and allow his team to lead 34-10. The score did not change until the 77th minute when Pรฉrigueux scored their second try of the match, narrowing the visitors’ gap to 19 points, 34-15. As the match was about to end, the Niรงois were still hungry, and Yann Tivoli came to seal this beautiful Azurienne victory. Final score 41-15, an offensive bonus point that feels good.
