The Nice-Ville train station wins the first round of the 2018 contest for the most beautiful train station in France, organized by Gares et Connexions. Voted by internet users as the most beautiful station in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region, it surpasses its competitors Avignon TGV, Toulon, and Marseille Saint-Charles and qualifies for the national level.
With more than 15 million euros invested, the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis, along with the City of Nice, initiated the Nice Thiers Multimodal Exchange Hub, with the station occupying a central position. In 2020, 11 million travelers will pass through this site whose goals have been multiple: to transform the station area into a city district, and to enable different modes of transportation by enhancing intermodality.
