The Niçoise cuisine festival in Ariane

Latest News

This Friday at 4:30 PM, the Ariane neighborhood will host the second-to-last regional final of the Niçoise cuisine competition “Chef for a Day”. Organized by the city of Nice and brilliantly orchestrated by Franck Viano, it already has five finalists qualified for the grand finale.

Linda, Claude, Franck, Florine, and Marie-Charlotte: the first regional finals featuring the sweet chard pie, pan bagnat, or trouchia have already crowned their initial winners. This afternoon, in the heart of the Lecuyer garden in Ariane, ten candidates will once again try to win, or rather earn the black apron, which symbolizes qualification for the grand finale.

The apron will be awarded by Christian Estrosi following the traditional deliberation of a distinguished jury including Fatima Khaldi (Territorial Deputy), Marine Brenier (Territorial Deputy), Laurence Duperthuy (food blogger), Isabelle Defoly (Head of the Cuisine Nissarde Label at OTC Nice), David Faure (Chef at L’Aphrodite), Marc Chevalier (Chef at Le Petit Gari), François-Xavier Michaud (Cooking Professor at Paul Augier), and Denis Zanon (Director of the Tourism Office).

This time, pissaladière and Niçoise salad will be highlighted for this final, which will yield three qualifiers before the last final on Saturday, June 20th at Place Sasserno. Indeed, as the finals in the West could not take place as scheduled, territories 1 and 2 will be the guests of territory 7 for a joint final.

So who among Magali, Hasna, Françoise, Souad, or Elodie will join the grand finale, which will be held at the Palais des Expositions on Saturday, September 12th, as part of the Associations Rendezvous event?

Come and find out at 4:30 PM in the Lecuyer garden of Ariane.
