The Night of Cinema returns on November 22 in Nice. Organized by FACE06, it offers students an immersive experience centered around imagination.
The Night of Cinema is back at the Variétés cinema in Nice for its fifth edition. Organized by FACE06 with the support of Crous and the University Côte d’Azur, this evening is aimed at young people eager to experience an immersive event centered around the theme of imagination. More than 410 students are expected for a night that will combine screenings, activities, and conviviality.
What sets the Night of Cinema apart is its participatory approach. The films to be screened were selected by the students themselves via a survey on the FACE06 Instagram account. This process ensures a program that meets the expectations and tastes of the participants. The entrance ticket, set at €10, includes not only the screening of three films but also a box of popcorn, a drink, and breakfast to conclude the evening. It’s an outing that remains very affordable compared to the average cost of €32 for an equivalent experience.
An evening imagined with and for young people
Among the films being screened, Shutter Island from 9:30 PM to 11:50 PM and Back to the Future from 12:20 AM to 2:20 AM. The Night of Cinema is not limited to screenings. During the intermissions, participants will be able to enjoy various activities. A hypnotist will be present to offer a unique performance, while a photobooth will allow participants to capture the festive evening. Students will also have a chance to win prizes provided by the event’s partners. These interaction moments are designed to encourage social interactions and strengthen group dynamics.
Beyond entertainment, the Night of Cinema aims for a social goal. By promoting access to culture and creating spaces for sharing, this event seeks to combat the isolation often felt by students. This initiative is part of a broader effort led by FACE06, working to improve young people’s quality of life in Nice.
