The Nikaïa Meeting returns for a new edition in 2024.

Latest News

The Meeting Nikaïa will be back on June 15, 2024, at the Charles Ehrmann Stadium. Once again organized by the ASPTT Nice Côte d’Azur, the Nice athletics meeting continues its story.

The Meeting Nikaïa is an illustrious international athletics competition held once a year in Nice. After a 22-year absence, it made its grand return in 2023. That edition was a success, with national records and even a world record. The Swiss athlete Audrey Werro set a new junior world record in the 1000m event. Two national records were broken: the first by Andrew Coscoran with the Irish record, and Niels Laros who claimed the men’s 1500m record for the Netherlands. These remarkable performances make us curious about the 2024 edition. For its return, the Meeting Nikaïa has received the Continental Tour Bronze classification. The aim is to maintain this label as it symbolizes great confidence from the federation.

What to expect for this next edition?

The organizing committee is committed to continuing their efforts. Paralympic events will be organized. Special attention will be given to facilitate access for spectators with disabilities. The promotion of athletics will also be undertaken in the priority neighborhoods of Nice to further support young people in steering clear of delinquency. Finally, they will continue to follow the standards of World Athletics For a Better World closely, in order to fight against the climate crisis. A short video has even been prepared to announce the event.

Save the date for June 15, 2024, once again at the Charles Ehrmann Stadium.
