The “Nissa XXI” program: students from the Arènes school act as cultural guides at the Cimiez Archaeological Museum.

Latest News

The program for the enhancement and transmission of historical and cultural heritage “Nissa XXI” in schools and leisure activities includes “It’s Class at the Museum!”

This Friday at 3:30 PM, the fifth-grade students from the Arènes school will become, for a day, the cultural guides for the Nice Cimiez archaeological museum. Their classmates and later their parents (at 5 PM) are invited to visit the exhibition with them and discover the richness of this heritage site.

To prepare for this unique visit, the schoolchildren previously met (in their classroom or on site) with the museum staff, discovered the collections, and familiarized themselves with various professions (receptionist, curator, cultural mediator, administrative officer…).

This municipal program will be extended from the next school year to other museums and schools located nearby. By 2021, all municipal museums are expected to participate in this program.

We thank you in advance for your presence and the publicity you can give to this information.
