End of the road for the road warriors. The legendary event, the 4 Days of Dunkirk, concluded this Sunday. It was an opportunity to assess the performance of Team Nice Mรฉtropole Cรดte dโAzur.
The 6th and final stage saw the victory of Belgian sprinter Tim Merlier. On a course slightly shortened by about ten kilometers, the Azurรฉenne team played it safe. Rightfully so, since only two of them were left at the finish after the withdrawal of Damien Girard, who had finished far back the previous day. Damien Girard, who was one of the great attackers in these 4 Days of Dunkirk. The 21-year-old rider showed himself at the front on two occasions. He contributed to NMCA being among the five teams best represented in breakaways, with nearly 300 km spent at the front.
It should also be noted that the first Aiglon in the overall standings of the event is Jonathan Couanon in 29th place, 3โ25โ behind Romain Grรฉgoire (Groupama FDJ).
The next event for Team Nice Mรฉtropole Cรดte dโAzur is Les Boucles de la Mayenne starting on Thursday.
