The number falls below 4,300, according to figures from Santé publique France, published on Saturday, May 15. This figure has been decreasing almost continuously since the peak of 6,001 reached on April 26.
The total number of Covid hospitalizations is also continuing to decline, with 22,950 patients on Saturday, including 580 new admissions, compared to 23,406 the day before.
These numbers are significant just a few days before the second phase of lifting the lockdown.
