The number of Covid-19-related hospitalizations is decreasing.

The Covid-19 epidemic killed 213 people in hospitals over 24 hours, compared to 396 on Friday, at a time when other indicators are declining, according to data from Santรฉ publique France.

This figure brings the total number of deaths in France since the beginning of the epidemic to 52,127.

The number of Covid-19-related hospitalizations is also decreasing, with 28,139 people hospitalized (down from 28,620 on Friday), after a peak of more than 33,000 patients on November 16.

Hospitals now have 3,765 patients in intensive care (down from 3,871 on Friday), with 122 new admissions in the last 24 hours.

The positivity rate (the proportion of positive cases out of the total number of tests) is also falling, at 11.4%, compared to 11.7% on Friday, 12.2% on Thursday, and 13% on Wednesday.
