Across the entire territory, «mortality among those under 18 decreased significantly (-47%)», notes the report, as well as that of 18-24 year olds (-34%). «Young people aged 18-24 remain the most at risk», emphasizes road safety authorities. In contrast, the mortality rate for those over 55 increased by 13% between 2010 and 2019, with a particularly significant rise among 55-64 year olds (+17%) and 65-74 year olds (+20%).
