The number of RSA beneficiaries as of September 30, 2017, amounts to 22,944 households, announced the Department of Alpes-Maritimes.

“For the first time since February 2013, this number has fallen below the symbolic threshold of 23,000 beneficiaries,” commented President Charles-Ange Ginésy, who added: “This significant decrease demonstrates how relevant and effective the actions implemented through the Employment-Insertion Plan 06 are.”

The number of RSA beneficiary households has decreased by 10.3% over the past two years, while the number of long-term unemployed continued to increase (+11.5%).

“Therefore, this very encouraging result is due to the proactive policy implemented by the Department of Alpes-Maritimes, and I am extremely proud of it,” further commented the president of the Departmental Council.

This insertion policy will be maintained in 2018 with a budget of nearly 13 million euros. It will even be strengthened with the new Departmental Insertion Program (PDI) for the period 2018 – 2020.

This program will aim to continue the strategy initiated, following the same principles: regular support backed by digital tools, a priority on returning to work, and rigorous controls.”
