Olive oil from Nice, specifically from the Arènes de Cimiez, will be donated to Secours Populaire, Secours Catholique, and the MIR Association on Monday, April 27.
This initiative led by the Arbre Association aims to highlight the city of Nice’s olive tree heritage, involve young people in integration projects in the preservation of Nice traditions, and raise their awareness on the theme of solidarity.
The olive harvest and oil production took place from December 2008 to early 2009. More than 1,200 kg of olives were harvested and pressed to produce a total of nearly 230 liters of oil.
Part of the production has already been distributed to social causes by the ARBRE Association (Salvation Army and Social Grocery).
