Starting tonight and for three performances, the Nice Opera hosts “The Olympiad of Olympiads” based on the Opera Seria by Antonio Vivaldi.
A new production by Opéra Nice Côte d’Azur is to be discovered from today. In partnership with the National Sports Museum and Côte d’Azur University. Inspired by the libretto of Metastasio’s L’Olimpiade. This opera blends singing, music, dance, theater, video, and digital creation on stage, appealing to all generations. For the first time, the Opera transforms into an Italian-style theatrical production, imagined by the set designer Fabien Teigné. A running track appears on the Nice Opera stage for the occasion.
This new work allows for the celebration of the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games in France. This event takes place both within the opera and throughout Nice. With the path of the Olympic flame, which enables the people of Nice to participate in the event.

On the program are three days of opera, entry is by reservation on the Nice Opera website, and prices range from €12 to €90. Enjoy two hours of performances in Italian with French and English surtitles, centered around the Olympic flame and the Olympic Games.
