The ministerial authorization and the beginning of the work have neither hindered the zeal nor the actions of the opponents of the Municipal Council’s decision to transfer the TNN activity to other locations and consequently demolish the current building.
Led by his daughter Martine, an association (incidentally funded by the Departmental Council) is fighting by bringing together an unusual team, Eric Ciotti, Philippe Vardon, Patrick Allemand, and the ecologists, allies for a day with a single objective: to thwart Christian Estrosi‘s project.
It is Eric Ciotti, more vigorous than ever after his reelection to parliament, who took the conductor’s baton during the gathering this Saturday, which brought together about a hundred people at the entrance of the building in the process of being demolished:
โI solemnly ask Mr. Estrosi to organize a referendum to submit to the people of Nice the decision to demolish the TNN building (and the Acropolis).โ
The logistical aspect of the problem has nothing to do with the cultural one โ the activity of the TNN remains in force without any penalty โ and does not hide its clearly political aim.
