The 7th edition of the OVNI (Objectif Vidéo Nice) festival will start this Saturday, November 20th.
From November 20th to December 5th, the OVNI Festival will take place in nearly 25 hotels, cultural spaces, and unusual places in Nice.
In 2015, at the Windsor Hotel, this event was designed to promote video art in all its artistic forms. Each year, it brings together multiple artistic stakeholders to allow the public to discover emerging video artists and rediscover the more established ones. To showcase them, the OVNI Festival uses an uncommon method: creating a city-wide parcours.
From the opening of the festival this Saturday until its closing on December 5th, residents of Nice will be able to find the many works of the chosen artists in the museums, cultural spaces, and unusual places in the city. In the final days of the festival, from December 3rd to 5th, another parcours will be organized in Nice’s hotels where artists and videographers can be met.
The OVNI Festival thus represents a unique opportunity for the inhabitants of Nissa la Bella to discover or rediscover the riches of the Nice and Côte d’Azur heritage through video art.
