The Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Region, in partnership with FNTV PACA, GRDF, GRTgaz, SCANIA, Cars Phocéens, Lignes d’Azur Authority, and Total Energie Gaz, will present this Thursday, June 8, at the Nice bus station, a bus entirely powered by BioGNV (Natural Gas for Vehicles), a 100% renewable fuel derived from waste recovery.

A Regional Express Line exceeding 450 km round trip is being tested, a first in France for such a distance. The bio-GNV bus offers significant environmental benefits, particularly in terms of air quality: noise emissions are halved, it has 50% fewer nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions, up to 95% fewer fine particles, and a carbon footprint of less than 10g of CO2 per km.
