The Palais des Festivals et des Congrès in Cannes is organizing an open musical stage for the second time. On August 16, 2022, at 9 PM, many talents from the region will have the opportunity to be recognized.
The legendary Cannes stage usually hosts artists with international fame. This time, the aim is to give local artists, authors, and composers the chance to test their musical works on an audience in a friendly atmosphere.
Artists from pop, rock, jazz, and rap genres will be present to perform 4 sets of 30 minutes each. Out of 50 applications, 4 groups and artists who have already released their EPs have been selected thanks to the contest by the MJC Picaud:
BOKËH is a young pop soul artist from Cannes. In her first track titled “Mandala“, the singer-songwriter showcases her soft voice influenced by pop and soul.
Her stage name is inspired by the word “blur” in Japanese, specifically the blur related to photographic language. An EP that thus represents her personality.
LE MÔME comes from the Rap universe.
His real name is Grégory Rossi, Le Môme is an independent artist. His rap is luminous, polymorphic, and timeless, serving the text. At 24 years old, the Nice native particularly wants to share his passion and promote a Nice urban culture.
COCO is a songwriter, composer, singer, and DJ. She is accompanied by her musicians (drums and keyboards) and they will present her brand-new live performance based on her first EP “Coeur“.
A blend of deep house and Bossa Nova rhythms makes Coco a unique artist.
NEEDS is a very unique rock band, mixing metal, trip-hop, jazz, and classical influences. After their first EP “June Colors“, they are now promoting “Hold On“, the first single of a new cycle of compositions to come.
Tickets are available on the Palais des Festivals website, but it is also possible to purchase tickets directly on-site up to 1 hour before the event starts.
