From April 13 to 17, 2011 in Cannes and initiated in 2004, the International PanAfrican Film Festival is 8 years old and today it is a model of civic engagement and the mirror of exemplary multiculturalism.

panafricain.jpg For 25 years commitment to “Better Living Together.” Culture remains the favored tool to facilitate our understanding of others. More than ever, the International PanAfrican Film Festival is at the heart of the transformation of our world.

The 2011 theme “We Are Born and Grow in Ethics” concludes this trilogy on Ethics, “We Are Already Tomorrow.”
A majority of premieres, even World Premieres, of films of exceptional quality will be presented to you.

Numerous professionals from 5 continents will be making the trip.
From all corners of the world, the Jury will be composed of: Laurentine MILEBO, actress (Congo/France), Sofi DELAAGE, director (France), Francesca BARTELLINI, director (Italy), Andrรฉa SPENCE (Roxbury Film Festival – Boston – U.S.A), BOULOU EBANDA de B’bรฉri, Professor – Founder-Director of the Audiovisual Media Lab for the study of cultures and societies – University of Ottawa, writer (Cameroon/Canada), Francois-Xavier GBRE, photographer (Ivory Coast/France).
This Jury is presided over by the Great Franco-Moroccan Director Mohammed Ahed BENSOUDA.

For this year, Madame Cinema, Catherine RUELLE, will have the honor of presiding over this 8th edition.
