The members of the Panathlon Club Nice Cote dโ€™Azur, an association affiliated with the global Panathlon organization, chaired by Richard Papazian, awarded scholarships in the presence of numerous sports personalities to two particularly deserving athletes.

President Richard PAPAZIAN expressed “his pride for this year’s selection”. He also emphasized “this moment of assistance and support for these athletes, hoping that this check will bring them good fortune”.

Flora Vautier, the first athlete awarded, is a Para table tennis player and a member of the ES Villeneuve-Loubet-table tennis team. At the age of 15, Flora is an example for young people. After becoming paraplegic following a road accident in 2015, she now moves with the aid of a wheelchair. After two years in a rehabilitation center, she discovered para-sport. A lover of sports, she developed a passion for table tennis, and her hard work and dedication have paid off as she joined the France National Team in 2019 and won her first European title.

The second athlete is May-ly Picard. A karateka from Nice and a member of the ASBTP club, this athlete ranked in the top 50 worldwide, has achieved great international performances for many years. Also a nurse by profession, she aims to maximize her chances to fulfill her dream: participating in the Tokyo 2020 games.
Next summer, karate will make its debut in the Olympics only to exit again after the Paris 2024 games.
