Expansion work on green spaces is underway in the Castel des Deux Rois park in Nice.
As part of the vegetation plan implemented in Nice, the Castel des Deux Rois park in Nice is becoming even greener. In total, the garden will gain an additional 170 m² of green spaces.
The aim of this work is to make the soil more permeable by removing the concrete square. It also aims to mitigate flooding episodes and water runoff.
This will also promote infiltration into underground water reserves to restore the soil’s natural role as a sponge. 207: that is the number of additional plant species that will be planted.
These trees and shrubs reduce heat through their size and capture CO2. The work is estimated to cost €66,000.
