Jacques Victor and a delegation of communist officials were received by Jean-Michel Drevet, the prefect of Alpes Maritimes.
At the center of the communist grievances is the centralization process that has been underway for several years in the department.
He denounced the consequences of the Nice Côte d’Azur agglomeration “a metropolis that was imposed on us hastily,” particularly in the health sector, with reduced access to care.
“We are opposed to this scheme of systematic centralization,” he added.
