The first meeting of the term was an opportunity to present the strategic directions of the CNOSF for the 2021–2025 Olympiad, as well as to introduce the new leadership team, which includes two notable sports figures from Nice: Philippe Manassero, the president of CDOS 06, and Eric Tanguy, the president of the Volleyball Federation. The former will participate in the executive board as a permanent guest, while the latter will be responsible for advising on Sport in France and Innovation.
Brigitte Henriques, the new President of the French National Olympic and Sports Committee, reaffirmed the vision that had been expressed during the campaign: that all federations will become partners and unveil the sport of France!
Current issues central to the commitment of the sports movement were the subject of initial exchanges.
The Pass’Sport, a key tool in resuming physical and sports activity among young people, captured the full attention of the administrators, who committed to making this initiative a success by strongly engaging federations and clubs during the summer. The objective is to welcome the largest number of young people eligible for this aid (5.4 million).
Regarding the CTS, following the mobilization of the 108 federations in April, the CNOSF is continuing its work in close collaboration with the ASDTN and reaffirms the need for a clear stance on the future of the 120 positions eliminated in 2021. In the run-up to the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the CNOSF also wishes for a broader reflection within its ranks on the human resources allocated by the State for the federations’ missions. These positions and proposals will be communicated at the highest level of the State.
In anticipation of the Senate’s examination of the sports bill, the Board of Directors decided to consult all 108 federations to determine their strategy and any potential amendments to the text adopted by the National Assembly on March 19.
