Holidays, I forget everything, nothing to do at all… Nice Premium went to meet some people from Nice to see if the lyrics of this summer song were still relevant.

From Jean Icart (General Councilor) to Hervรฉ Caรซl (Head of Emergencies in Nice), passing by Paul Henri Safayan (Marketing Manager Nice Rugby) or Olivier Tafanelli (Lawyer at the Nice bar) let’s discover what made their holidays and the memories they brought back in their luggage.

Nice Premium: What are you going to do, or what did you do during your holidays?

Jean Icart: I went to recharge in the Alps, which are also part of our Azure region. I deeply enjoy getting closer to nature through long hikes. That’s why I hold its protection in such high regard.

NP: What is the best memory you brought back?

JI: More than a particular memory, it’s these memories of walks that nourish my daily life, in a global conception of life.

NP: Finally, vacations and its back-to-work resolutions. What are yours?

JI: As for my resolutions, they are everlasting. Holidays do not make me forget them at all but rather deepen them.
The future issue of Nice – Winning Nice, Winning Nissa – is on my mind.
The contacts I establish go in this direction to meet the expectations of the people of Nice. I invite them to participate with me in this endeavor.

Nice Premium: What are you going to do, or what did you do during your holidays?

Hervรฉ Caรซl: Few holidays in reality, like all people participating in rescue and emergency services in the summer. Activity in emergency services is always very busy in summer periods with the small and big misfortunes of our fellow citizens.

Between two shifts, we continue to pursue meetings for the magazine “Vivre Nice” and the website www.vivrenice.com. The team has grown with the arrival of new editors and photographers.

NP: What is the best memory you brought back?

HC: No unique memory.

Quiet evenings, with family or friends, at home or in small Niรงoise restaurants, a resumption of sports activities, and the (re)discovery of cultural sites in Nice and the region (I recommend the Saint Jean-Baptiste chapel in Clans, which has been revived with the colors of Niรงoise painter Patrick MOYA)

NP: Finally, vacations and its back-to-work resolutions. What are yours?

HC: Continue to balance professional activities and “citizen” engagement. MoDem 06 launched reflection groups this summer on the future of our organization and on major daily life issues in Nice. The Democratic Movement intends to participate in the upcoming municipal and departmental debates.

Nice Premium: What are you going to do, or what did you do during your holidays?

Olivier Tafanelli: I went to Paris to see friends and then to Italy with family. In Paris, I mostly visited friends, with whom I went shopping and visited various restaurants. I also visited two exhibitions (Ambroise Vollard at the Musรฉe d’Orsay, Corot at the Louvre).

NP: What is the best memory you brought back?

OT: Riding a โ€œvรฉlibโ€ bicycle around Place des Vosges, and a very good andouillette-frites at โ€œMa Bourgogneโ€, also at Place des Vosges.

NP: Finally, vacations and its back-to-work resolutions. What are yours?

OT: Work more, to earn more! Ahahah

Nice Premium: What are you going to do, or what did you do during your holidays?

Paul Henri Safayan: Like every year, I decided to take the last week of July and August off. So two weeks of vacation. In July, Corsica with our dear Project Director and companion in this effort to bring Niรงoise rugby back to the forefront, Julien Schramm.

Back to roots with family at Cap-Ferret in August before gearing up for the final stretch before the season starts with the RNCA and the World Cup. A vacation distribution that allows me each year not to lose sight of the club during a key period for setting up and structuring the following year.

NP: What is the best memory you brought back?

PHS: The pleasure of spending moments with family, as I am away from them the rest of the time.

NP: Finally, vacations and its back-to-work resolutions. What are yours?

PHS: To gain tolerance, less demand. Learn โ€œle Nissart.โ€ And always more pleasure in doing my job.
