Do you love photography, discovery, walks, and have a playful spirit? This contest is for you! 12 photos to take in 12 hours in 12 different locations, a challenge you must meet to be the winner of this photomarathon organized by Septoff and JJ Photo.
But what is a Photomarathon?
What?
It’s a photo contest open to everyone, both amateurs and professionals of all ages. Participants use their own camera – analog or digital as they prefer. The event was initiated in Nice by the Sept off, modeled after the PhotoMarathons of Copenhagen, Montpellier, Cardiff, Glasgow, Prague, Rotterdam, and Berlin, among others.
When?
Saturday, September 27, 2008, from 9 AM to 9 PM.
Where?
In downtown Nice. Starting point: MUSEAV – 16 Place Garibaldi.

12 themes revealed throughout the day.
Registration deadline
Wednesday, September 24, 2008: registration form downloadable from www.7off-marathon.org or available at JJ Photo – 2 Descente du Marché – Old Nice, accompanied by a participation fee of €15 and a photocopy of an ID.
Participation conditions
Analog contest: Take 12 photos in 12 hours on 12 imposed themes with a 12-exposure film (provided) – one shot per theme – exposed film to be submitted to organizers no later than September 27 at 9:30 PM.
Digital contest: Take 12 photos in 12 hours on 12 imposed themes in jpeg format – one shot per theme – submit the 12 photo files via the internet on the PhotoMarathon site no later than September 27 at 10 PM.
Both contests share the same themes but will be judged separately.
The number of participants is limited to 200. Registration fee is €15. Full regulations are available on www.7off-marathon.org.
Prizes and rewards
A winning photo per theme and the three best photographers rewarded in each category, analog and digital.
