Les Moulins – Amaryllis Square – Nice
The Héliotrope and Labophoto associations have conducted photographic and cinematographic workshops in the Moulins neighborhood, with the support of Nice Côte d’Azur through the CUCS (Urban Contract for Social Cohesion).
Within this framework, students from a 9th-grade class at Jules Romains Middle School were invited to share their vision of the ongoing urban renovation of their neighborhood through photography and sound. The aim was to explore different forms of reality representation through documentary media, opening the neighborhood to the outside world.
Large format black-and-white film photographs will be displayed at the rehabilitating Amaryllis Square. Tenderness, the desire for freedom, joy – many emotions to discover in these images starting tomorrow.
This type of initiative promotes the expression of children and adolescents, highlights their creative talents, and often helps them improve their academic performance. The goal is also to involve them in the life of their neighborhood.
