It is customary for the members of the Collectif Photon to organize group exhibitions where a common theme is suggested, which each member interprets according to their own sensitivity.
CARTE BLANCHE changes the game. Each photographer was given the freedom to choose their own theme. The only constraint imposed was the number of photos. Full powers were granted, with the accepted risk of venturing into more exposed, more intimate territory, revealing more of oneself.
The Raoul Mille library, with its thousand and one works as so many illuminated windows, is a splendid setting for this exhibition. The photos engage in a dialogue with the books, sharing a common endeavor to express the plurality of the world. The languor of a cruise, the gentleness of a winter landscape, the blur of silhouettes on a summer evening, the races of a bicycle, a brewing storm, the light of Venice, the Himba women of Namibia, the energy of New York streets, all tracing paths for a serene invitation to parallel and profound wanderings.
