This work of requalification and renovation – as part of the redevelopment of Cours Saleya and the Cité du Parc – has enhanced the square and will strengthen its attractiveness while preserving its historical roots and uniqueness.
The work, which began in May 2019, consisted of:
Planting a palm grove while respecting the view of the Palais des Rois Sardes.
Creating 28 covered spots around the square. Initially dedicated to florists and related products during the work on the western section of Cours Saleya, these spots will host fruit and vegetable producers starting in February 2020.
Reorganizing the central space to allow for the organization of activities and events that contribute to the site’s appeal.
