francas.jpg Patrick Grieco (Vice-President of Francas 06):

“The enactment of the 2005 law on citizenship and equal opportunities for persons with disabilities reaffirms the desire for greater participation and social integration of people with disabilities.

While educational and professional integration are essential vectors of full social integration, the question of accommodating children with disabilities from an early age in extracurricular and leisure environments is a challenge our society faces today.

Despite real and growing commitment, we find that managers of collective accommodation structures face real difficulties, hindering the actual development of accommodating children with disabilities within these structures.
All the partners present in this brochure have therefore come together to organize this conference and thus contribute to the development of welcoming disabled audiences within leisure activity facilities.

Indeed, promoting education in a mainstream setting from an early age boosts social diversity, ensuring a life open to others and greater independence for all.”
