On Saturday, April 11th, the Nice Botanical Garden invites the general public—whether they’re amateurs, curious, or passionate—to the traditional plant exchange starting at 8:30 AM.
A true moment of flower exchange, cuttings, advice, and good cheer, this event is a spring essential, a day to go green, learn all the tricks of a good gardener, and discover botany…
At 2 PM, a free guided tour of the garden, which features 3,000 species spread over 3 hectares, is organized.
It begins with a presentation of the garden and its history, then continues with a discovery of the various plants of the Mediterranean climate, through a journey around the world (Morocco, California, the Middle East, Australia) and through the senses.
By taking the small paths, gardeners will introduce you to the flora of Australia, South Africa, Mexico, Greece, Cyprus, and even the Canary Islands.
You can also admire the national collections of sages and agaves.
Stroll among the stands, ask questions, listen to anecdotes, and explanations about the different uses of medicinal and culinary plants.
Bring potted flowers, cuttings to root, and seeds, and leave with new plants!
