The Play Azur Festival in Nice takes place at the Acropolis Palais.
Before the big festival, here’s a brief overview of what awaits you there.
The PAF is two days of Web Culture (YouTube, web series…), Pop Culture (cosplay, video games, SF, comics, manga, Japanese culture…), and new technologies (science, robotics, popularization…).
The ticket office is open and offers pre-sale tickets at more advantageous rates than those available on-site.
The first edition of the Play Azur Festival was held on February 17 and 18, 2017. For the first time in Nice, the public was able to meet more than 60 YouTubers from various backgrounds. The speakers were able to cross fields such as biology, history, cooking, cinema, science fiction, or medicine, for example, through numerous activities in addition to the traditional autograph sessions.
Conferences and round tables were offered on various and diverse themes, animated by several videographers, each bringing their own vision and expertise.
The public was also able to share more intimate moments with the videographers thanks to meet-ups. These were special encounters, in small numbers, filled with exchanges and unique moments.
But the PAF was also an opportunity for the public to discover the talents of tomorrow. Indeed, about ten videographers had the chance to present their work through a unique event: my channel in 180 seconds. As the title suggests, they had 180 seconds to present their channel!
Organized by the Play Azur association, this festival was born from the idea of connecting the public with renowned videographers from various and diverse fields. After a first edition that hit the mark, the anticipation for this second edition was very high, both from the public and the YouTubers, and their wish was granted. Indeed, the Play Azur Festival is back, with a new format offering more content and a doubled reception area.
On February 10 and 11 next, in Nice, the Play Azur Festival will offer you the chance to meet your favorite videographers and iconic figures of pop culture. With more than eighty guests, all chosen for the quality of the content they offer, it is impossible not to find something you’ll enjoy.
The weekend program includes conferences, meetings and workshops, autograph sessions, activities and demonstrations, contests, games, tournaments, etc. The Play Azur Festival is also the opportunity to meet future web talents with the concept “My Channel in 3 Minutes” that allows about twenty of them to present their channels to the festival’s audience.
A part of the gambergent.com team will be present to share with you their passion for video games and virtual reality through solo or multiplayer experiences.
Because one should never overlook the assets of their region, many speakers, videographers, partners, or guests come from the Côte d’Azur. Thanks to the universities, business incubators, the Sophia Antipolis technology park, and individuals, the Play Azur Festival 2018 features relevant and talented guests, proving that France and particularly the Côte have nothing to envy the rest of the world. A local know-how appreciated, which will be highlighted on February 10 and 11, 2018.
