The Play Azur Festival returns for its 6th edition on May 6th and 7th, 2023, at the Palais des Expositions in Nice.
The largest Geek and Pop Culture convention on the Côte d’Azur gathered 20,500 people last year. The 2023 edition promises to be just as exciting. On the agenda is an immersive weekend filled with activities and meetings within a 14,000m2 space.
Six universes will be represented: YouTube/cinema, scientific popularization, Asia, Comics/manga, video games, and Medieval Steampunk. Visitors will be able to immerse themselves in these worlds thanks to 300 free activities: the “Sorting Hat,” the famous “Ford Anglia” of the Weasley family, the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man, the Ecto-1, e-sport tournaments…
Over these two days, 50 guests will be present for signing sessions. Among them, you will find actor Nicolas Gabion, YouTubers Sheshounet and Leo Techmaker, and voice actors Dorothée Pousséo and Emmanuel Curtil.
Also noteworthy is the organization of a cosplay contest, with the regional qualification for the French Cosplay Cup taking place on Sunday.
