The Port Festival, a major popular festivity in Nice, has resumed after a two-year suspension following the July 14, 2016 attack.
This event is part of a shared commitment to continue promoting a strong events policy, which is a key driver of economic activity and neighborhood animation. Wounded but brave and resilient, Nice will host its first fireworks display since the July 14 attack.
For the occasion, numerous activities have been organized throughout the event: concerts, DJs, and shows. Music groups will also roam the Esplanade de la Douane.
A “Swin&Run” demonstration took place in the Admirals’ Basin. It is a non-timed 2.5 km race, which includes 500 meters of swimming in the basin followed by a 2 km run around the Lympia Basin and the Quais Lunel and Infernet.
