The Prefecture is strengthening measures to combat the spread of the virus in the Alpes-Maritimes.

Latest News

Since August 27th, the Alpes-Maritimes department has been classified as an active COVID-19 circulation zone. The indicators (incidence rate, positivity rate, and number of clusters) continue to rise.

In this context, in consultation with health authorities and elected officials, Mr. Bernard Gonzalez, the prefect of the Alpes-Maritimes, has decided to limit the opening hours of bars and restaurants to 1 AM in municipalities with more than 2,000 inhabitants and to 11 PM for those with fewer than 2,000 inhabitants.

These measures aim to prevent and limit the epidemic’s impact on the population’s health.

Then there is the behavior of people, far from exemplary, with the State which can play an essential role. Honestly, it’s not a done deal.
