While visiting Nice to meet with an association of families of victims of the Nice attack, the Minister of the Interior, Gรฉrard Collomb, announced this Saturday that the President of the Republic will attend the commemorative ceremonies of the Nice attack on July 14th.

Gรฉrard Collomb made this announcement during a meeting with the victims’ association “Promenade des Anges,” created after the July 14, 2016 attack, which resulted in 86 deaths, claimed by the Islamic State (ISIS).

When questioned about the removal of the State Secretariat dedicated to victims in the new government, the Minister of the Interior assured them that “the Minister of Justice will strongly address their issues.”

“We felt like we were heard; now we will see in practice,” commented Emilie Petitjean, president of the association.
